In the last week, I have lost a family member and as I was trying to make sense out of the situation, my mind was going a hundred miles an hour. Asking all the question of why and how this could have happened, she was still young and she still had her life and family to life for and enjoy. This made me realize how we take life and the time that we have on this earth for granted.
We have a lot of mistakes in our lives, but I think the biggest one in my book is the phrase “we still have time”.
How wrong can we be with this statement. We are not guaranteed a long life.
I will do it tomorrow or later. What if there is no tomorrow or later? Our lives can change in one second. One minute we are doing awesome and the next, tragedy strikes in full force.
How do you get through the difficult times?
Rocky once said “Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life, but it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done.”
So when tragedy strikes, hold your head high, ask for help and deal with the tragedy. Do not postpone something that is important, do it immediately. Stop procrastinating, you will only feel worse afterwards. I know because that is how I feel.
If you take small steps to reach you bigger goal, you feel like you accomplished the world and no one can make that feeling disappear.
Time is limited and we must do the best that we can in this time, now. Phone a love one, dance to music, tell the people that matters to you how you feel about them. We do not know when our time is up, so do the things that matters to you NOW!!!
